Originally, before JimFurey.com, I started a web page called ScienceNow!, the intent being to show repeatable proof to some "questionable" sciences and to bring to light new ideas and open discussions. The web page sat virtually unnoticed and unattended, and I did only a few things with it.
Now, I've put it here and renamed it "My Research". (Because after recent research, ScienceNow! is already used as a name by a science magagine. - Science Now! Magazine) The term "My Research" meaning your science. The world around you. I was going to go as far as change the name of the directory (from ScienceNow to MyResearch) but I realized that some people have already linked to it so I left the directory name alone.
If you go to My Own Projects you'll see the largely unkepmt page of my own research and projects. Don't expect much, I'm only just beginning to pay this more attention now. (Now meaning 7/2/04.)
Under Advanced Sciences you'll find provable, conventional and interesting current sciences, some with their own lab on how to recreate your own version of it.
MyResearch
was formed some 3 years ago. At that time,
I was doing my own cancer research into curing cancer using electronics. As I did more
reading, I found it more and more increasingly hard to tell what was "real" from what
wasn't. I believe in some of the less talked about and accepted technologies that I
read about, but from an engineering standpoint, a lot of what I read didn't make sense.
Not just from an educational view, I'm actually quite open minded, but from a purely
"this just isn't right" awareness about the subject which I knew about.
I found that some people simply didn't know what they were talking about. Or that they
made incredible claims that they never substantiated. If they really knew how to do
something, why couldn't they say "Buy a slab of steel, this big by this big, dip it in
10 ounces of liquid nitrogen at this temperature and you have what I'm talking about!"?
But they don't. So this site was changed not only to include
possible alternative solutions, but proof of their use. It's my feeling that those
people just looking to exercise their ham-bone to sound important are ruining and
delaying the progress we could truly make.
In many ways, I consider myself uniquely qualified to create
this area. As a presentator, a professional writer and a web page producer, I can create
a clear and concise set of pages well laid out with easy to understand information. As
an electrical engineer for over 3 decades, I have the experience and knowledge to try,
recreate, test and verify a lot of what's being claimed out there. I will completely
document the process of design and test and you'll see what's possible and what's not.
